Store Manager
Key Responsibilities
To effectively manage all departments and colleagues to ensure exceptional standards are achieved at all times.
To drive continuous development and coaching of the Management teams Manage financial performance of the store.
To ensure all Food Safety procedures are adhered to at all times within the store.
To ensure that all company policies, systems and procedures are implemented and managed in accordance with Best Practice.
Implement and manage all change initiatives.
Assistant Manager
Key Responsibilities
To manage departments and colleagues to ensure exceptional standards are achieved at all times
To support the Store Manager in achieving the stores financial targets.
To take ownership for Line H.R. responsibility including the management of colleague performance.
Constant management of change initiatives
To be responsible for the security of the store ensuring all necessary security systems and checks are in place.
To manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
Each department has a duty manager who oversee the day to day running of the department, below are 3 types of Duty Manager roles
Duty Manager (including Stock Control, F&V, Deli, Checkouts, Shopfloor)
Key Responsibilities
Ensuring excellence in customer service at all times.
Taking responsibility for the general management of the shop when required.
Ensuring that departments meet projected sales and contribution targets.
Ensuring food safety is everyone’s priority and responsibility.
Managing labour, stock control, ordering and margins
Managing all products stocked within the shop in accordance with best practice
Ensuring colleague flexibility throughout the shop is maintained.
Systems and Resource Duty Manager (with responsibility for the HR Function and Cash Office within the store)
Key Responsibilities
The effective management of the Systems / Resource function.
Training, development and motivation of department colleagues.
Achieve individual KPI’ s as set by the Store Manager.
Drive Continuous improvement in the administration department.
Ensure colleagues are operationally active to achieve maximum levels of productivity.
Carry out all line HR responsibilities.
Manage labour targets and maintain colleague flexibility across all departments.
Other management responsibilities are resourcing, pricing, managing the Cash Office, both the GNFR function & the Resale function & Food Safety.
Protein Manager (Duty Manager for the Fresh Meat/ Butchery Department)
Key Responsibilities
To manage the financial KPI’s in a manner that will ensure the profitability and viability of the Protein department
To deliver, support and implement all strategic initiatives for protein in the store as required
To ensure that Protein production is delivering product of the highest integrity and “uncompromising quality” that our customers demand
To ensure that the full range is on display in a manner befitting “ a shop that inspires”
To support and report directly in to the store’s Assistant Manager
To manage the production aspect of the Protein business
To manage, develop and support the Protein Team Manage and control health & safety and Food Safety/Hygiene standards
