At Superquinn we understand that shoppers want
great quality, service, and value, but with such a
huge range of products to choose from, we also
understand that sometimes it can be confusing
knowing what the healthy choices are.
Nowadays most of the choices we make about the food we eat are made in the supermarket, which is why we believe that identifying healthy options and having lots of healthy eating advice and information points in our stores can make a big difference in helping Irish people to eat better and get the balance right, for themselves and their families.
In October 2008, Superquinn launched a brand new nutrition-led campaign called eat better, designed to help consumers make better choices when shopping to feed themselves and their families, and to make it as easy as possible to identify the healthy, nutritious choices available in Superquinn stores.
Some of the criteria includes: strictly controlled fat, saturates, and salt content for meat and fish, low fat and reduced fat dairy products, and fibre and wholegrain content for breads and cereals. Combined with this we have undertaken an extensive review of all of our own-brand products to ensure that they are free from artificial colours, flavours, and preservatives. Look out for the eat better logo in store to make healthier, more balanced decisions.
